Which archives matter most?
Several archival collections could, in principle, bear on the claim.

At the same time, naming real institutions increases the evidential standard. The Holy See, the United States government and wartime Allied administrations generated extensive paperwork. A covert transfer involving diplomatic coordination would normally be expected to leave at least indirect traces across multiple bureaucracies.
So far, the public record has not met that standard. Modern discussions largely trace back to later UFO researchers and Grusch’s account rather than newly released wartime documentation.
